Green
Conservatory
In this conservatory, we lightened and extended the lower ground floor of a Victorian house which was decorated in a beautiful style celebrating the owners’ Indian heritage. Entertaining is central to their lifestyle and we wanted to allow the large garden to be enjoyed year-round by their family.
Design-wise, we brought light and colour to foster excitement in the space. Continuing the light green of the windows and doors linked the conservatory to the rest of the house. The terrazzo tile stone flooring with detailing in the corners is traditional in India. It chimes with the stunning feature chair and the Asian fan. Adding wallpaper detailed in pink brings warmth whilst complimenting the green tones. Coloured, tasselled lamps complete with gold detail soften the space. The mirror makes the room seem larger whilst acting as a contrasting feature against the brick wall. The room now has a wonderful, convivial atmosphere.
