Immersed in Light
This dual-space renovation—comprising a shower room and a full bathroom with shower—was designed to feel expansive, serene, and immersive despite the absence of natural light. Located within the same property, both rooms feature porcelain tiles with a handmade look: one in a soft white finish, the other in rich terracotta. These tiles, applied seamlessly across floors and walls in varying sizes, dissolve the horizon line, creating a “swimming pool” effect that visually enlarges the spaces.
The layout was carefully reconsidered to maximise flow around each vanity unit and to create open, inviting showers that feel integrated into the architecture. Custom-built vanities and abundant concealed storage were essential to the client’s brief, blending functionality with minimalist elegance.
Though windowless, the rooms glow with a sense of natural warmth. Carefully selected materials, layered textures, and architectural lighting work in harmony to create a feeling of being outdoors—calm, bright, and tactile.
