Bathroom
The ensuite bathroom of the main bedroom in this house needed redesigning from scratch. Previously, it felt very crowded. The bathroom is accessed via a walk-through wardrobe area so the clients wanted an impressive bathroom to match.
We gave the bathroom a style that evokes a sense of being in the mountains somewhere in Asia. The black and white tiles support this, whilst the walk-in shower keeps the space clear. A free-standing bath was added at the same time, to allow the practice of soaking in a tub after cleaning in a shower. Covering the floor and wall in the same material prevents the horizon from being demarcated: again, the space seems endless. The pinkish tiles above the sinks bring warmth whilst floating the oval mirrors emphasises these features. It’s a wonderfully light, open sanctuary.
