In this vibrant home redesign, Sara focused on using dominant colours to bring personality, warmth, and functionality to each space, creating a cohesive yet dynamic overall feel.
In the living room, existing cherry-toned furniture inspired a welcoming design that celebrates the colour throughout the space. Designed to serve both as a comfortable sitting room and a guest bedroom, it features a bespoke sofa-bed and custom shelving for drinks and glasses, perfect for the clients' frequent gatherings. Shelving placed near the ceiling subtly enhances the perception of height, turning the room into a stylish and multifunctional heart of the home.
The kitchen called for boldness. Sara and the clients chose a rich green, applied through metro tiles and cabinetry, complemented beautifully by textured copper worktops. Black and white floor tiles by Mattonelle Margherita introduce a playful, fabric-like pattern. Houseplants soften the strong lines and add to the lush green atmosphere, resulting in a spectacular, cohesive space.

Handmade bright yellow triangular tiles from Spain bounce light around the room, while a narrow-bottomed bathtub enhances flow and space efficiency. Concrete elements, including a bespoke sink, add an industrial touch. A mirror wrapping across three walls creates infinite reflections, and a vibrant yellow curtain — brought from the USA — ties the joyful design together.
Finally, the bedroom continues the theme of bold colour with a striking clear blue. Comprehensive built-in storage wraps onto the ceiling, creating an enveloping, cosy feeling. Integrated bedside shelving in the same hue ensures both unity and practicality, completing the transformation into a fully personalised, characterful home.
