Modernist
Bathrooms
In renovating two bathrooms in a large, contemporary house behind Highbury & Islington station, we complimented the house’s modern feel with designs that brought in natural elements. We twinned the colour green with stone, porcelain tiles mimicking timber, beautiful lighting and plants.
Creating storage was key. The timber vanity units provide this whilst bringing a balancing warmth to the cooler tiles. Placing a large mirror adjacent to a window multiplies the illusion of space considerably. By covering the front of the bath and emphasising its curved corners, we softened the space. Opening up the shower brought fluidity into the design.
In the smaller bathroom, we opened everything up, creating much more space including adding storage behind the mirror.
Modern, round lamps promote the feel of an outside terrace. The combination of green, stone, timber and light results in two harmonious, calming spaces.
