Spanish
Bathroom

The studio was approached by a well-known, local writer to design a bathroom with a Spanish feel. The client was inspired by her formative experience of living in Spain, and had also much admired some hand-painted Spanish bathroom tiles seen in another location.

We were delighted to specifically source hand-painted, ceramic tiles produced in Spain for this design. We installed a shower as per the client’s wishes. A beautiful blue vanity unit was added, chiming with the tiles and providing storage. Creating an arch within the room promoted the feeling of two distinct areas whilst the large mirror gives the illusion of size within the space. Adding plants brought nature into the design whilst the dark, tiled floor is a perfect marriage of style and practicality.

Happily, since doing this project, Sara and the client have become friends. They enjoy watching ballet together at the Royal Opera House.
